It's not about what people think. It's about whether or not the person you're trying to help is going to actually absorb the message and act upon what you're trying to tell them. You see, the point of giving people advice is to help them, not get your smug jabs in.
By saying you don't care how the message is worded, you are saying that you don't care if the person is truly going to take your advice. If you don't care if the person takes your advice, you're only talking to them for selfish reasons and should just shut the fuck up.
