On the psychiatric disorder topic: I remember when making it to that list was sort of a "home base" (like playing tag) for things otherwise viewed as social abnormalities, free to be ridiculed; kind of how alcoholism made the leap from people being viewed as irresponsible outcasts to people afflicted with a disease. Genetics and psychiatric disorders are both blameless, but I guess it's the stigma being argued here, as well as accuracy.
