Instead of mentally trying to cling to a bad idea, try understanding WHY the concept of protecting the tribe is a horrible way to view the world. You like all religions, get stuck on pretty and ignore what the idea of grouping around religion does to divide humanity.

Religion acts as a gap fill placebo, it is great for creating safety in numbers, but the dark side of it is that safety is local and the poison of ALL religions is that it pits the in group vs the out group. Just like competing mafia bosses.
