There are lots of "superstitions" and false beliefs about the causes of excess brake dust, warped rotors, and performance gains from slotted and drilled rotors that I do like debunking from mechanics that are attached to them as strongly as some theists are to Noah's ark. Like the catholic church, the brake industry play along with some of these just for the money. "Ceramic brakes??" Indeed, how silly.
