I've heard confessions of ill behavior at 12 steppers from similarly afflicted individuals. I wasn't much into public spectacle when I was drinking and drugging, but I know many who were.
Some here might find this odd, but I'd think most 12 steppers would feel the coke addict owes the cop(s) and the car wash owner an amend, should he achieve some success in abstinence. We'd have to see, however, where any possible mental health issues leave off, and the drugs start.
