I won't be the devil's advocate although I'm tempted by defending Nicki or Kanye because honestly I prefer a week of silence or church camp over listening to their music at any given time or day.
But I think music taste is very personal. For the most part, I think is about identification except when it comes to Beyonce because then IDK what comes over me but I just wanna dance.
@PolarBear: Disco will never die
@Neimenovic: Maybe at some point your biological clock will tick? I doubt it. I don't think such thing exists but for some reason most people do

I also liked what was then classic 60's rock, and folk music. I listened to Simon and Garfunkel and the Weavers.
My kids don't really have bad taste in music, they just have a tendency to play the same thing over and over once they've discovered it. Super Trouper five times an afternoon is four times too many.
Just four? When I discovered Abba it'd be more like 14 and I'm starting to feel some regret already
60's rock, as in, The Beatles for example?

I'm getting off easy. I was wild, but their father wasn't.
Let's hope they take on their father's side?
