I would tend to a agree and I think the moral of the story is more people need to read the Quran for themselves to see how bad it really is. I've always maintained that the Quran is the best antidote to the Quran. Once they've read then Quran for themselves then we'll see if they still want to shield Fascists from scrutiny. The Quran may not be as violent as the Old Testament, but it's certainly more dangerous than the Bible as a whole.
Right now yes. But that is because the west has had a secular leash on Christians for a longer period of time. If you suddenly stripped the west of secular law it would not take long for Christianity to backslide into it's prior barbarity. Even in some parts of Africa Christians can be as barbaric as Muslims. Look up "The Lord's Resistance Army". And it isn't like America doesn't have it's share of right wing hate groups
