If you aren't feeding your child through the day and they faint or can't learn at school then you shouldn't have custody of those children. It doesn't matter if you are abusing your children for religious reasons or not.
Hey, their parents made it and they might not have even gone to school. So there's zero reason for their kids to go to school now. It's hard living in the 21st Century if you have to obey 7th Century rules.
