If the proportion of Christians who would react with equanimity when confronted by the Koran or Hitchen’s God is not Great in their hotel rooms is the similar to proportion of Atheists who simply close the drawer on the bible, then I would have less issue with bibles in the hotel rooms. Otherwise I take it as a manifestation of over-Christianization of the society unbecoming of a enlightened society.
And no, Koran in hotel rooms of muslim countries is neither here nor there. The attitudes towards religion in those countries are not a model for western civilizations, which pioneered modern secular enlightenment and scientific thought, to follow.
