I may have a different vision of what constitutes a liberal Christian - My parents were some kind of liberal Christians and they didn't go to church or pray very often - They read the bible once in a while. I was taught some principles about Christianity, the bible and Jesus, but that's it - My mom didn't allow me to have an official religious education because she disliked priests and thought they corrupted the will of god. My dad didn't like priests as well because when he was a kid he went to a church to beg for some food (back then people were really poor, it was normal) and the priest kicked him and his friends out - What a Christian thing to do, right?
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
