The principle is certainly sound.
We can certainly do that. However, in most cases, when we make an in-thread notification, it's aimed at the participants in the thread, not any one person in particular. Just something to keep in mind.
It's hard to imagine a scenario in which every single participant in the thread might require such a notice.
