Could you put this in context for me, bearing in mind my description of my interactions with my daughter above please.
You told her you were an Atheist, which to pretty much any Christian group is "scandalizing" your daughter. If Daddy does it, it must be okay or at least an option for me to pick...Which of course to any theist is not an option that can go unpunished.
The idea is anything that inspires even the tiniest bit of doubt that could lead someone to apostasy or Atheism is horrifically evil. Far, far worse than theft, rape or genocide since you're helping send them to hell so when you get there you're going to get a even worse punishment. You're responsible because you didn't discipline her for voicing heresy and not encouraging belief.
Personally I personally loathe the KJ, I know it's super popular in English Speaking countries but it really is one of the least true to the original translations going A lot of literal meaning was sacrificed for ease of translation or poetic effect. It won't matter for most American Christians but Catholic/Orthodox ones may call you out for using it instead of the New International Version or Douay-Rheims
