Analysis of lunar rock brought back by Apollo astronauts shows traces of the "planet" called Theia.

The study has been published in the journal Science."

Its extraordinary to think that our planet and our natural satellite could have formed from such an event.
You'd think there be nothing but debris, another asteroid belt around the Sun.
Life can still emerge in the universe in the most improbable of places. ^^
Where is this planet called Theia, how could they know what they were comparing.

Wait for the moon to rise. Look up at the sky. Look down at the ground.
You're welcome.

You want to know how we know this? That's an entirely different question that you failed to contemplate, apparently.
