On my Earth map I built the great wall in Rome, which was in the middle of the continent. over time I watched that wall radius get bigger and bigger. That's probably the bet way to see how far a border can really expand. Though I'm not really sure if there's anything we can do about that. You can't just have all your cities be a mile out from each other.
I'm getting annoyed by my neighbors sending armies to my borders. Rome had some small attack force that crashed impotently against the forts on the hills that act as openings in the mountain pass. Swordsmen vs riflemen on hill forts. No surprise who won, and he wanted peace after that little attack. Germany tried harder. Now France has rolled up some musketeers on my southern border, and I'm watching them carefully.
I guess it's fortunate that on this map I'm Japan, and am geared for military. I'm not overly concerned yet.
I don't think anyone answer my question about the map seeds. Is it possible to find them, so I can save the seed numbers outside the game?
