Well, it's definitely not overall as bad as The Fault in Our Stars (which I forgot to mention I made a rant on as well, probably because I had just managed to forget about this movie) 
or Divergent, but it has moments (particularly acting) that are worse than either and really bright spots that sort of cancel each other out in the long run. It's definitely worth knowing and analyzing, in my view, if an OK movie like this is worth the controversy and whether it's an OK movie that's just mediocre throughout or has lot of highs and lows.
