The difference is that we have millions of people who form their entire lives around the morality of the OT god, and not a single person forms their morality around natural selection (well, maybe I shouldn't say "not a single person").
This question was whittled down to "a dog-eat-dog world" and posed to Dawkins by some lady in a video floating around youtube somewhere. To which he replied with something like (in my own words)- No one is proposing that we live by the standards of natural selection. A dog eat dog world would, of course, be horrendous. And it probably wouldn't work in the first place, as a single species, evidenced by us not naturally living this way. Heck, maybe a small pocket of humans tried it, but if they did, it didn't work, and we no longer see them. We are civilized and aware; if anything this places a responsibility on us to look after the world and it's inhabitants.

I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
