Both NDE and psi research experiments produce statistically significant results - results comparable with the results of non-controversial scientific experiments. However, the implication of those results are subjected to heightened scrutiny because they challenge the assumptions of dominant materialist paradigms. In response to that scrutiny, researchers in those areas are extremely scrupulous about controls. Some studies have as many a quadruple blinds. That does not mean that the conscious survival of death is proven. Like all other scientific theories should be only provisionally accepted since all the current competing theories cannot adequately to account for the data.
