Christianity's Shoe Event Horizon
The Shoe Event Horizon Explained

Like any other phenomenon, xtianity has a natural lifecycle. In the western world, that lifecycle is nearing its end, its "Event Horizon". In other parts of the world it is increasing or reaching its peak (eg African continent, South American continent and China).

Xtians on these forums are proud of the fact that xtianity is on the increase in the world and mock atheists claiming that atheism will decline overall. When one looks at the short to medium term, they could be mistaken in thinking that atheism is declining but they are not looking at the whole picture. The overall increase of xtianity in the world is due to the fact that new, very large territories are at the early stages of their xtianity lifecycle whilst the more "traditional" xtian countries are losing their religion with massive declines of xtian adherents. So in the short to medium term xtianity will increase overall but over the longer term (hundreds of years) as these larger territories will go through their decline period, it will also decline overall in the world as a whole.

So let's look at the numbers of xtians in the declining "traditional" territories to see what the fate will be for the currently increasing territories.

In the UK:

Quote:the number of Anglicans here "fell from 40% of the population in 1983 to 29% in 2004 to 17% last year"

In France:

Christianity dropped from 82% in 1986 to 51.1% in 2016. At the same time, the non religious rose from 15.5% to 39.6%.

In Germany:
Ref: http://newobserveronline.com/christianit...germany-2/
Quote:In Western Germany, some 54 percent of people said they believed in God, but this figure is declining rapidly, indicating that the majority of believers are elderly.

And of course, we can't forget the good ol' US of A:

So, xtians, enjoy the inflationary part of the xtian cycle in the new territories, but when your time runs out and the cycle turns to decay, xtianity will go the way of the Zeus and Odin mythologies.
