I'm in line with the other retired people. I've wasted a metric shit ton of months on things like commuting to work and back. When I carpooled and wasn't the driver, I did paying work or engaged in some activity that I could perform in the car, so not all wasted. I do the vehicle registration payments online. The rest of the time, I entertain myself in whatever way I enjoy. I voted less than one hour, though, because there is always some sort of shit keeping me from doing what I want to do, but I minimize it pretty well. When I was still working, I endeavored to get as much as was humanly possible done when I was at work. You never would have seen me looking at sports, or even the news, or answering personal email, or on social media during working hours. The amount of shit that I've seen other people do, though, boggles my mind that the company tolerated it. It's a huge drain, and we are all the poorer for it.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
