Well, the bad guy certainly WAS motivated by Christian principles. Whether the baker was or was not is probably immaterial, although her first thought was to avoid a potential lawsuit (I'm not sure if avoiding lawsuits is a Christian principle or not). She seems primarily concerned with adhering to her business practices, irrespective of what her religious beliefs may be.
