I'm not looking forward to any apocalypse, but the odds are good that during a person's lifetime, they'll be in a situation where there's going to be a rough few days to a week, say with no electricity or running water due to any number of catastrophes. Being prepared for that week is inexpensive and worth it if you ever have to face it. As to an acual apocalypse, maybe I'm an optimist, but I think most people will pull together to help each other survive, ant and grasshopper alike. Cooperation is the greatest survival skill our species has.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
