Hardly seems like of a stretch, but okay.
It's not like I said any of that without context, it was in response to the question "who did "black" people pray to before slavery", that question makes absolutely no sense if the people in the scriptures WERE black... hence:
I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. - Song of Solomon 1:5
The above scripture was not written by "Hebrew Israelites"...
Yes, I know that.
Lol...But that IS the single verse they refer to from the Song of Solomon that they offer up as undeniable PROOF that ALL original Hebrews were were Black, when that made-up verse could've just as easily been intended to be an expression of Pharoah's daughter; his lover/wife. Meaning that she was black, but not him necessarily. Especially if when one considers her description of Solomon:
Song of Solomon 5: 10-15-
My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.
His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.
His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.
His legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold
IDK...Seems like she's describing a dark-haired, racially ambiguous, olive-complexioned fella to me.
And again...Call me crazy, but given the location of Egypt it makes sense that the ancient Hebrews would've been diverse racially/phenotypically.
Unsubstantiated religious texts aside.
Quote:Maybe you study some of the atrocities committed by the ancient Hebrews, at one point they were burning their kids alive in sacrifice to Moloch, God told them at the outset that he would visit the iniquities of the father upon their descendants. God has ALWAYS dealt with the Hebrews as a collective, a few people could screw it up for everybody, that's just how it was.
At the end of the day, I don't believe I am in any position to Judge the wisdom of an omniscient being...
So you're willing to just ACCEPT that you and your people are deserving of slavery, oppression, torture, murder, etc based on some broken Negroes' dressed up as Power Rangers likely misinterpretation of a single verse, eh?
Okay. Got it.
