Churchill was voted out in 1945(the nation remembered how bad conservatives were following WW1) and his deputy, Clement Attlee (A democratic socialist) was voted in. His government created the NHS and brought in Keynesian policies which lowered unemployment and the national debt, which stood at 250% of GDP. Surprisingly, Margaret Thatcher our most right wing leader, admired him.
That socialist is also credited by many as our finest Prime Minister. He's never outside of our top 3.
Once again, Obama is not a lefty. He's a centre right. The Democrats would be happier if he was a lefty. Stop watching FOX.
