I read the rant or OP briefly this morning and all I got was that while the author is atheist, he doesn't think we atheists are all cut from the same cloth. Frankly I thought it read like what someone assigned to write a paper at least x pages in length would write, who really only has x – 3 pages of things to say (where x is a counting number less than 10).
Perhaps he means to say that certain low-brow atheists have transformed from theists who acted like they knew everything cuz of the bible to atheists who sound like they know everything cuz of science. See that whole idea just takes one sentence. Not much to it really.
I suppose that is a valid enough point. But so what? Maybe a know-it-all atheist will become humbler and more cognizant of what they don't know as they go along. No need to should all over them.
