RE: Thanksgiving. American holiday, all nations welcome

My parents are twenty minutes away, and I have no choice with them. I find Thanksgiving pointless, at best. It's also a stress on the stomach.
But, we will get together with family friends down the road (my father's friend and his wife and small daughters. I get on with the adults pretty well. Kids in general, not so much.). Turkey, green beans, mashpos, dessert pies (pumpkin and shoo fly) and gridiron football.
ETA: I kind of wish I had some jews as friends or family. It would be interesting to see what a Thanksgivukkah spread of food would look like.
