What about empathy for the individual attempting to spread his genes, and have a family. The weak got raped because he/she was weak. Survival of the fittest!

But also, empathy is about preventing harm and ensuring basic human rights for people: how is the rapist harmed by being prevented from raping? Sex isn't an assured right.
