Family Guy used to be funny. Then their humor started to shift from actually being funny to trying to be shocking. The problem with a popular show like that trying to be shocking is that they have a tendancy, when they push the envelope, to change what we find shocking. Now Family Guy isn't quite so shocking and even a lot of their formerly die-hard fans are getting bored.
Then again, I think South Park and maybe even The Simpsons are dealing with similar issues (except both of them can still have subtle social commentary).
Also, I used to think Saturday Night Live was funny, but now it just seems to be getting dumber and dumber. Is that actually happening or am I just getting old?
