What silliness? Piracy is technically theft. When you purchase a game, you're not actually buying the game; you're buying the rights to use the game within the scope of the developer's wishes. The developer is giving you permission to use their intellectual property as they see fit and as you (implicitly) agreed to by purchasing the game. When you break this implicit contract, you're effectively stealing from the developer, because you're using their product without their consent.
And what is the moral basis of your argument? Why should someone downloading a game online feel bound by the contract between the buyer and the seller?
