Finally got my 16 champs and played a couple ranked games. Fuck.
1st game, played god-mode Udyr. Five minutes in, encountered jg opponent (who'd already been fed 3 times by our mid who was pushing his lane for no reason at all) who was now mulching my camps. Result-- inevitable death. Threw up wards all over the place and proceeded trying to catch up with fast camp kills. Result-- teams qqs because I wasn't ganking enough-- especially the guy who originally fed my opponent. After that, every stupid death my teammates got, even when they were running solo through enemy jungle or standing next to enemy turret with no wards up, was my fault. What I'd expected-- everyone holds their lane for at least 5 minutes so I can get my 1400g weapon and come gank sanely. Fail.
2nd game, played Garen. Up against Malphite. Fought basically even even though Malphite is probably a Garen counter. Had wards up, positioned well, escaped about 3 ganks from Yi running in. Never saw my jg, EVER, not once in the whole game. Guess he was trying to catch up like I was in game 1, so I know how that feels. Finally got triple-ganked and lost turret fast. Result-- at least I wasn't blamed, because everyone was already blaming the jg. Still, a loss is a loss, and I was never winning my lane at any point.
It seems low-elo games are basically people who are worse than in normal PvP, but who cry harder and in-fight more. Each game, my team was down at least 5 champ kills in first few minutes, so hopefully the odds will balance out and I'll get to be on a couple strong teams. Or, it's me.
