I do hate people who use religion to justify immoral behavior or to excuse their own bad behavior. I'm annoyed by people on my doorstep who would like to convert me but have no factual or logical reason for the belief that they want me to join. I'm really annoyed when those same people think it's okay to try to convert my kids but not okay for me to engage their kids about atheism.
I don't get any people at my door step like that where I'm living now, but I used to when I lived somewhere else.
It was mainly Mormons and Seventh Day people.
As much as I don't agree with their beliefs, I can understand they have good intentions and it takes guts to go around knocking on people's doors.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
