Definition of bigotry: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.
Come on, you're on an atheist site! Anti-religious (your word) site! What do you expect?
I'm not sure if I've been directly bigoted toward you personally (may have been) but I know that you've been caught in my shotgun blast posts and victim of the collateral damage of my intolerance of the belief/behavior. You've taken it personal when that was never the intent. Remember my "Kill them all, let god sort it out" post? Not directed at you at all but you took it as a personal offense and I apologized. What's interesting is the "Kill them all......" started out as a catholic saying when eliminating the Cathars.
Guess what, most of us are in the minority with our belief in our communities and we get the bigotry IRL on a routine basis. Happened to me this morning (I'm being prayed for). Bet dollars to doughnuts you don't get it with nearly the same frequency. Here on AF may be the only time you do receive it. I'm not sure why you expect something different or no intolerance. IMO that's not realistic on an atheist site.
So, I can understand that you feel bigotry here, you're in the minority. But don't fault us for speaking our mind about our belief/non belief in an atheist forum.
Want to try an experiment? Try walking in our shoes, not IRL, but just on the internet. Sign up to a xtian discussion site, identify yourself as an atheist and express some atheist views. Then report back.
Maybe I got ya wrong and that was not your intent either. It's much harder to tell when not IRL.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.
