Answering for myself, my standard based on my own conditioning and developing through personal experiences. By my standards, I find that I haven't done anything worth burning in hell for eternity for, and any god who thinks anyone deserves burning for eternity in hell is a monster.
Quote:neither do I or anyone one else have to do anything to for our salvation. its paid for in full. one time, one sacrifice. All you have to do is believe on the One who did it and what He did was true. and you receive forgiveness and everlasting life. All the bad things you've done and will do once you're saved God will separate them from you as far as the east is separated from the west. That is good news.
No, as a Christian you're supposed to do more than just believe. You're supposed to go to church every Sunday, pray every day, read from the boring Bible every day, avoid certain works of art that may be deemed demonic, and not be romantically/sexually affectionate with someone you love if you're not married. You're also supposed to show bigotry towards homosexual and bisexual people and transgendered people as well. So no, it's not just believe, it's also do some other things that most of us would not like to do at all.
