To me, when talking about a TV show, content related to aired episodes wouldn't be a spoiler but anything from supplemental materials (like the comics) or common/well-known fan theories or guesses about storylines/characters from the supplemental materials might be spoiler-tag-worthy. (For instance, who the people Blonde Dude and Brunette Chick were running from were - I've heard tell that might be something from the comics.)
I would grant that in some cases a grace-period can be granted where for, say, two days after the newest aired episode spoiling content from that episode might be put in hide tags, but that can get confusing about which tags hide spoiler content from episodes versus which hide spoiler content from the comics and people might inadvertently get spoiled when they just wanted to talk about the episodes that have already aired... (happened to me in the GOT thread, IIRC).
Mostly I just say that if you haven't seen the most recent episode, don't click into the thread, and if you do and you get spoiled then it's your own fault.
