If I am the one to fuck up, OTOH, which is unlikely, I expect staff would give me a warning
and then I can either leave, or argue my case, or, most likely,
simply apologize and then not repeat the offense.
I've had some disagreements with people here but I have yet to be flayed for anything.

For my first year I refused to so much as glance at the rules page, on the principle that if there were any rules I couldn't naturally follow then it'd mean the forum isn't really for me. But now the place is my home and I wouldn't leave even if we got rules I didn't like. I've since read the rules but only just because I like being able to quote them when someone stupid or annoying is breaking or coming close to breaking them.
