I was pulled over 2 summers ago for a broken tail light, which I believe was just a pretext for pulling me over. I had an older car that was a little dented and dinged up.
The officer was a younger fellow, probably in his early 30s. He checked my license (clean) and let me off with a warning, not even a ticket. I'm pretty certain I was judged on my light skin, blue eyes and, pardon me for sounding crass, but it was a very hot summer day - over 100F - and I was dressed...appropriately for hot weather.
I didn't choose at that moment to let him know that I'm a godless heathen and that I believe The Man - meaning governmental authorities including the police must always be questioned and kept in check.
