That is exacly my point Brian. Here we have a suspended bridge to the Tagus river in Lisbon (looks like a smaller version of the golden gate). It was called Salazar Bridge (the dictator). After the carnation revolution at 25th April 1974, the renamed it to "The 25th of April Bridge". I disagree. It was built under the hunger of our people, under no freedom. In the time I would get PIDE at my doorstep just for writing this post. There are still fucks around that think he was a great man. My grandpa spent 2 years in jail for uttering criticism against the fucker. He got leuchemia and was denied threathment. While both my dad and uncle were fighting abroad in Angola and Guinee. He died 2 months short before I was born in 1980. Tough dude.
In portuguese forums I usually tell those fuckers that still think he was a better guy than current politicians. My dad lost his dad in his 20 th year. He still speaks of him with great sorrow now. He kinda forgot about me and my two sisters after that, but I can't really blame him. I have told him many times he needed his dad to put a foot up his ass on time or another. Me? When I was 9, my dad was arguing with my mother and I feared he was going to beat her (he never did), so I slammed a chair in his back. Took a beating after that and he did not spoke with me for 2 months.
I blame my temper.
