Seriously though. Anyone with an IQ north of 70 understands that the presence of these symbols are not to serve as a reminder of America's dark past. They are a source of pride for the wrong reasons and the wrong people which is exactly why they should be removed from public and government property.
I always thought a noble bronze equestrian statue of British General George Cockburn, riding at the head of his troops away from the executive mension in flames, would be the ideal historic monument for the center of the South Lawn of the White House, for it commemorates the most exciting episold in the entire history of our nation's capital - the sacking and burning of Washington DC by the British on August 24, 1814. It also commemorate the story of why White House became the WHITE house, which ought to particularly appeal to our president, who likes both white, and stories that are not true.
