Suppose for the nonce that Hitler was indeed a Catholic - he accepted the authority of the Pope, believed in transubstantiation, the Sacraments, and all the rest of it. How does his mindless butchery of 'non-Aryans' in any way invalidate Catholicism?
Because most Christians believe in the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. If Hitler really was a Catholic he would be filled with the Holy Ghost and would not have been able to do all the horrors he did during WWII.
If he really was a Catholic, then that is a huge crisis of faith for Catholics the world over.
