Hi Aroura, I remember playing mafia with you, you were a very good player.
It is the smartest atheist I know irl, I have encountered even smarter ones(the ones around here not Americans) online but not nearly as advanced as the people in this forum, it is for example very easy to win debates with atheists on social media sites. Atheism is not a huge thing around here, only a small group of young rebels and otherwise older weird types are atheists around here(no offense to atheists in this forum). We are family oriented mostly but I can understand how a individualistic culture can draw people towards atheism.
It's a good argument against claims of some atheists but it's not a good argument against atheism specifically because atheism itself doesn't make any claims. Atheism is a absence of belief but very rarely(I would even say it's impossible) for this total absence of belief to actually be seen in a person. Every person deep down will absolutely have some belief that's why they will go "oh dear God please help me" in tough situations, some people are aware of this so they make a conscious effort to not even say the word "God" it's actually kind of funny. I don't think a atheist that pleads God for help in a life or death situation is a real atheist, I think they're lying to themselves.
I think unreasonable positions can make people unreasonable as well, take Hitler for example, or white nationalists with a white supremacy belief, or take someone with a belief that it's best to train pets by beating them...won't take much for these unreasonable beliefs to result in unreasonable actions, but yeah, I see your point it depends on the situation and won't always be true.
Just joking don't take it too seriously

Don't equate the whole person with a single position.
