Why not? We are talking about Bill's sexual assault allegations, it doesn't seem too far out of left field to mention how his wife reacted to it.

I would say silencing a victim of sexual assault (if that actually happened) is just as much a problem as the sexual assault itself. I don't see it as obfuscating the issue at all.
