Yes, because absent treatment they could spread their disease and cause bigger problems. We as a society pay for a lot of dumb shit people do because not doing so has potentially negative consequences for everyone.

Not that I'm disagreeing (and I'm not) but they could just be isolated (a freedom the unvaccinated by choice should have forfeited in the first place). .
