Kit, most people just don't care. They are the religion they were brought up in and have never thought about it. They say the right things and nobody thinks they're "dangerous". They'll sit in front of their 80" TV and hope that God takes care of the planet while lying without concern about anything they want to lie about. They're just passengers on the planet and a burden on the body politic.
