Honestly, and I know there are arguments to be made against this statement, but I don't care. Rob, as far as I know, you're not black. No one should care what you think about saying the n-word. Every black member here says n-word or n*gger, which should say all *you*, a white man, needs to know. An us vs. them mentality still exists in this country. Sure, it's to a lesser degree than historically, but who cares? It's enough that we should be careful to do everything we can to promote true equality. We *could* have done that without making an explicit rule, but some people wanted to push the boundaries to see where they were. Instead of having our black members come in and see a wall of n-words, we had to make a decision. We did. Tough titty.
That you care more about the word than the feelings of people whose ancestors faced the most vile extremes of racism and still, to this day, face racism on a regular basis, says more about you than I think you want to say, so maybe shut up about it.
