Skeptics ought to ask questions, not endorse ideologies.

(Sorry for the tangent but I had to get it off my chest.)

That’s exactly how white supremacy was laundered. They were JAQ-ing off, while competing for clicks in the crowded SJW market as search algorithms positively drove to extremist content- all of which produced revenue.

So, for example, those silly sjw would say something like “intelligence isn’t determined by race” and “skeptics” would say, well let’s see if that’s really true, not taking sides, just asking questions. A long winded uncritical scientific racism screed would follow.

Precisely because the presenters were not identifiable white supremacists, and the presented content was not described as the ravings of white supremacy, many viewers were left with the impression that this content was like any other skeptic content. It was given that provisional acceptance from a trusted and popular source. When parroted, that lead to endless rounds of “but I’m not a racist, the presenter isn’t a racist, my best friend isn’t s racist, my racist uncle isn’t s racist. My mommy isn’t a racist!”.

Standard information asymmetry, with a chaser of reflexive interpersonal defensiveness.

The freeze peach grift is the rights abrogation component of the narrative.
