No. You "check the context", then you can identify which meaning was meant from the "wide range of possibilities".
Can't really be arsed to do that. When I'm presented with a book from the 7th century that lays claim to scientific knowledge derived from a Magic Sky Daddy, possible explanations leap to mind. The most likely one is that the person making the claim is doing so out of the misguided (but understandable) desire to show that his magic book is the BEST magic book.
Is it possible that Allah was responsible for comets bringing water to Earth. Sure it is. Is it more or less likely that the agency involved is celestial mechanics and collision mathematics? More.
