I have been doing so intentionally for several reasons.
(1) A member for whom I have respect got her panties in a bunch because I was criticising the US. On reflection, I concluded she was right and have tried not to do it. I hope to eventually find a middle way. In the meantime perhaps ignore any of my posts you don't like. Fair's fair ,that's what I do with yours.
(2) I happen to be Australian. .I know a lot more about my own country than I do about the US. I also think it's OK to make informed criticism of my own country
(3) Because you and others have failed to grasp the salient fact that Australia is the centre of the civilised world, not the US
PS with only one exception, Americans I've met have been friendly and hospitable. The one exception was a petty official at the airport when I flew into New York. He was under the false impression that everyone is dying to live in America. Even the New Yorkers I met were friendly and courteous.
You seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that I'm an American. I'm not.
