Ever see the episode of Dear White People when the black people rightfully got upset when a white boy at a party was singing along with the rap lyrics and sang the N word?
If they want to throw the word around freely, then it's their problem if a white person I'm the group wants to sing along. If they think it's a bad word, then shouldn't put it out there so blatantly.
I sort of agree with this. If the writers and singers of songs that contain the N word don't want it said to be sung by white, or other non-black, people then maybe they shouldn't be okay with the profits made off their music and concerts if that money comes from people who aren't black. I happen to listen to some rap music and have for years, the word is pretty commonly used. You either want a white audience or you don't.
