And I happen to think intent and context matter. I was told to stop using the n-word in examples that I had questions about during a discussion with staff-only, the reason appearing to be that Tiberius is so woke that the mere whiff of the n-word causes him to collapse in an epileptic fit from which it takes him a couple of hours to recover.
I agree completely that intent and context matter - I’m not fully onboard with the way the the hate speech rule has been worded or applied.
That said, I’m not allowed to enforce the rules I wish we had, but I’m constrained to enforce the rules we DO have.
