"Shutting things down" in a movie analogy does not give technical detail. If you varied setpoint on demand, say so. If you used duty cycling, say so. It does not make you look smart to be cryptic. It means you are being dishonest. Like the lies about patents.
VFDs are expensive. They do increase efficiency on systems with significantly varying demands. I would think that would be part of the original design.
Regulator chips are cheap. I would think the OEM board would have a 24 V AC or DC input with a built in 5V LDO. So if these batteries had available taps, you could get 12 or 24 there. More details left out.
Now, there was no generator? You linked to some sales brochures before, but they gave no tech details. So there was plug in mode and what?
If the battery voltage was input to the controller, you would know the runtime.
I'm still not seeing anything out of the ordinary here. Nothing patentable. Why don't you PM the patent number to Boru for him to confirm?
