I was actually going to look at it and decide what to do from there.
I have tried to search and can't find it.
To be honest, it's not that I have something to add to that topic, it's just that it is (one of the three) pinned topic in the "Atheism" subforum so every time I enter that forum (in the mobile version) I see those red letters and yet it is dead. So maybe just unpin it.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
